Products may not be returned unless the incorrect product has been supplied by the Provider or the product is damaged or faulty. If the wrong product has been supplied, or if the product is faulty or damaged, the Provider will repair or exchange it on condition that the customer returns the products within five days of receipt. In such an instance, the Provider will make a reasonable effort to exchange the product .
If you wish to return your goods it is your responsibility to take good care of the furniture and you are liable for any loss or damage. Failure to take reasonable care may result in a claim against you. To minimize the risk of any such claim we ask that you return the goods in appropriate packaging.
A second delivery charge will be applied for the collection of the goods, this will be equivalent to the delivery charge paid. Alternatively you can return the goods to our workshop where no second charge will be made. Items returned due to damage or a fault will have all delivery charges refunded and no collection charges made.
Any furniture you order with additional options selected is custom made for you and as such once successfully delivered and signed for, the furniture may not be returned nor will we provide any refund unless it has been accidentally damaged by us in the course of delivery.
You may cancel your order at any time after placing your order. If your furniture has already been manufactured, you will be responsible for a 50% restocking fee. If at the time of delivery you decide you do not want the furniture or thought it would match your decor better, you can refuse the shipment, at this point you would only be charged the delivery fee and up to a 50% restocking fee. After our delivery team has left your house and you decide to return the furniture, simply return the furniture to us at your expense and we will gladly give you a refund less up to 50% restocking fee. You may contact us at any time to check the status of your order. If furniture orders are cancelled after 5 days of delivery, no refund will take place until the set is sold. Refunds might be 50% if the set is still in its original packaging.Following cancellation of your order any monies paid will be refunded by the method you used to pay and within 30 business days.
Defective items are occasionally. In most cases, defects are of minor nature and can be cleared up in the home by a professional furniture technician. In the event you receive an item you feel is defective, please send us photographs clearly showing the defect along with a written description so that we can assist you swiftly. Though we do not offer refunds for defective furniture, we will be willing to repair or replace the item if the situation warrants. HAVEN FURNITURE DESIGNS WILL DETERMINE IF AN ITEM NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED. Natural flaws and imperfections in wood add to a piece's beauty and charm and should not be viewed as damages or defects. Natural leather varies in colour and veining, and there is no control over veining or colour. Due to the substantial discounts offered by Haven Furniture Designs minor legs and latch alignments as well as minor touch-ups are the customer's responsibility.
If you are directed to keep the piece of furniture that is damaged we will we have a professional furniture technician come to your home and correct the problem. If the problem is not corrected back to or better than manufacturer standards, we will take it to our workshop for repairs or have a new piece sent to you at no additional cost. If you are directed to refuse the item we will have it replaced or repaired and redelivered to you at no additional cost. Please take your time and inspect the furniture upon delivery, as it is much easier to have any problems corrected if they are noted on the delivery receipt. For extremely simple fixes such as replacing a broken handle, we will courier the parts to you and ask you to install them
Our standard delivery rates of R550 only apply to areas under Gauteng province. We normally deliver 2 to 3 weeks after orders have been placed. You will be notified when your furniture is ready and a delivery will be scheduled shortly thereafter. Please Note: These are estimates, not guarantees
A standard delivery and installation is when your furniture will fit freely and easily in to your room of choice. Standard delivery and installation is a two-man service. We will deliver the items to the room of choice, un-package and attach feet if required.It is your responsibility to ensure that the furniture ordered will pass freely through into your room of choice. Our standard delivery charges include no allowance for removal of doors, windows or other fixtures. If the movers have difficulty placing an item in the area of your choosing due to limitations such as narrow halls, stairways, corners or ceiling heights, the items will be placed in another area of your home. If you insist the movers maneuver an item in a difficult situation, you will be responsible for any resulting damages to the furniture and the premises. The movers are not permitted to set up baby cribs nor any items that attach to walls. The movers are not permitted to dispose of packing materials and those items will be left with you. The delivery crew is not permitted to uplift or take away with them any unwanted items of furniture or items not designated for removal previously with the call centre. It is in the customers' own interests that all loose items of value be removed from the delivery site and that in addition pets be secured in a safe location away from the crew and delivery site. Haven Furniture Designs cannot be held responsible for any items claimed to be missing following a delivery. Breakables such as glasses, vases, wall mountings etc must be secured or removed from the delivery site. The maximum couch length that can be fitted into an elevator cannot exceed 2.2m. If the flat or apartment does not have a suitable lift for the furniture, then the delivery crew will only be allowed to carry the items up to 3 floors in height, providing the passages are wide enough to accommodate the items without any damages to the goods. The delivery crew are not equipped to hoist goods over balconies. Should items be required to be hoisted a dedicated team would be required and subject to an additional charge. Haven Furniture Designs shall not be responsible for any damage whatsoever whether direct or consequential rising out of the use of the goods or in respect of any late or short delivery.
If you are unable, for whatever reason, to take delivery of your goods on the confirmed delivery date, we reserve the right to charge you further for any subsequent deliveries. Please note that it may not be advisable to give an authority to leave large items at your door as we will not be held liable for any loss and will not be able to provide the service to carry the items into your home and you may need to have someone available to help you.
You are responsible for providing a safe and reasonable means of access from the public highway to the place of delivery. If our delivery staff considers that access is unsafe, then we will not deliver the goods until safe access is provided. You are obliged to provide any required parking permits in advance. If the location of the delivery is not accessible by our delivery truck, it is your responsibility to provide transportation from the truck to the location of delivery. If your order is undeliverable for any reason, the furniture will not be delivered and you will be charged with the freight charge and will be responsible for collecting your furniture from our warehouse.
The movers travel hundreds of miles and make numerous deliveries. The delivery service will make every effort to meet your scheduled delivery time, but please remember delays may occur due to circumstances beyond the driver's control. Time of delivery is not of the essence in these Terms and Conditions of Trading. We will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss of profits or other financial loss or damage suffered by you through any reasonable delay or delay due to unforeseen circumstances outside of the reasonable control of Haven Furniture Designs or delay due to any reasonable rescheduling of delivery.
Occasionally, the furniture may experience minor damage during shipment or it may contain manufacturer defects. Please take your time an inspect all the furniture upon delivery and denote any damages or defects on the delivery ticket (bill of lading), as it is much easier to have these problems corrected when denoted on the delivery ticket.
